A peek inside
This Shabbat we read parashat Noach, the weekly Torah portion (Genesis 6 to 11). God told Noah to build an ark, a huge wooden boat, and to bring his family and every kind of animal inside before the flood. God also told him to gather every kind of food ahead of time, "for you and for them" (Genesis 6:21).
Question 1: Rashi brings an opinion that Noah was once late with the lion's food, and the lion bit him (Rashi on Genesis 7:23). Whose fault was it: the lion's, Noah's, or nobody's? What do we owe someone who depends on us?
