A peek inside
Hachnasat orchim means "bringing in guests." Jewish homes have a long habit of making room: the Torah describes Abraham running out of his tent to greet three travelers (Genesis 18), and a midrash, a teaching of the Sages, says his tent was open on all four sides so a guest from any direction could find the door.
Question 1: The woman from Shunem made a room for Elisha with a bed, a table, a chair and a lamp. If a guest stayed with us, what would make them feel at home?
